ATELIERS UONDAS is located in London — where every UONDAS piece is constructed by a single artisan by hand. There is no outsourced assembly. The atelier is the house. High ethical standards apply. OUR MATERIALS

From pattern to finishing, every material decision at UONDAS is made against a single criterion: how does it feel against the body in water? The answer determines everything — the choice of yarn, the weight of the weave, the treatment of every edge.

PEAU VAGUES™

From the earliest collections, UONDAS developed PEAU VAGUES™ — a proprietary jacquard woven in regenerated yarn, certified EU Ecolabel, Oeko-Tex Class I, and Global Recycled Standard. Technical, sculpting, and sensory, its surface carries the memory of wave movement — not as print, but as structure. The fabric does not illustrate water. It behaves like it.

SEAWEED

UONDAS works with a novel fibre derived 100% from sustainably harvested seaweed, woven without elastane, without lining, without compromise. Certified GOTS, assembled with organic cotton thread, it represents the furthest point the house has reached toward a single, unbroken material logic. There is no direct competitor. There is only the garment and the body.

METICULOUS COLOUR

The chromatic language of UONDAS is built on restraint. Each season, a small number of complementary shades are developed — drawn from salt-bleached stone, deep water, alpine morning light. These are not trend colours. They are chosen for their longevity: how they hold against the skin, how they survive submersion, how they remain themselves year after year.

NUANCES

Every shade is refined to behave identically across PEAU VAGUES™ and seaweed — in daylight, in shade, and in water. Fading is not tolerated. The colour a client receives is the colour she will keep.
